罂粟山里的莲花

泰国北部山上的佛陀园地，不是一般的孤儿院，它收容贫苦的孩子，也肩负教育的责任。山上的环境给孩子们提供了一片净土，他们从小就学习用双手自力更生。孤儿们有些是前毒贩的孩子，有些则来自山区少数民族的贫困家庭。到了佛陀园地，他们才有机会接受教育，为他们的人生基础扎下善根。白薇秀这次翻山越岭，叩问孤儿的内心，了解他们真正渴求的是什么。

Haven for the Orphaned
Built in the idyllic mountains of North Thailand, Buddha Kasetra School is more than an orphanage. Buddha Kasetra School
Based at Chiang Mai in northern Thailand, Buddha Kasetra School (Buddha's Garden) was founded by Phra Chaiyot Chaiyayasso in 1987. Its aim is to shelter and educate children from unfortunate and impoverished families, to enable them to rediscover hope in life. The efforts of Phra Chaiyot and the school's group of caring and dedicated teachers have obtained the recognition of the Thai Government. Together, they were awarded the prize for having 'The Best Education Policy' in Chiang Mai, while faring second nationwide.

佛陀园地的孩子的脸蛋深深地刻在我的记忆里。见到可爱的孩子从小就失去家的温暖，很心酸。我不知道制作这样一个电视节目，对他们会有什么帮助。我感激的是那些具有献身精神的校长和老师，为孩子们提供了一片纯净的土地。（完）
