铅华洗尽的她深入印度的血汗工厂、泰北的孤儿院、马尼拉的垃圾山等，亲睹社会的剥削不平之相，感受种种困境背后的人性明暗。社会最底层被遗忘的的心声，对受过新闻专业训练的薇秀而言，是一把什么样的声音？对她有多大多深的冲击？
饱受压迫的妇孺贫民中间，还生活着一群现代侠义之士，为弱势群体争取权益，为他们鞠躬尽瘁谋出路。有些是非政府组织 (NGO) ，有些是大无畏的个人，凭着炽热的信念去扶弱锄强。他们将与薇秀分享内心感受，带领她走进他们侠义与慈悲糅杂的世界。黑暗势力大无边，他们如何能活出不死的希望？

The Activist's Journey" is a series that deals with life, environmental and human rights issues. Host Joanne Peh will visit a country and find out more about a particular human rights or conservation project.
